About us
HGB Management provides full or partial management of ships, as well as a range of related technical services.
In carrying of ship management, we see the main obligation to comply with the norms and requirements of international conventions, the safe and efficient use of the ship with maximum consideration of interests and the minimum involved costs on the part of the ship owner.
As for the ship management itself, in our opinion, the most optimal (and most common in practice) for the shipowner will be the transfer of technical management to a qualified organization in full. In this case, the shipowner fully reserves only the issues of commercial operation of the vessel, which allows maximum control of the revenue side of the budget without focusing on routine technical issues of the daily operation of the vessel.

Technical Management
- Working with the Classification Society to ensure that the vessel complies with the requirements of conventions and rules. Organization of timely receipt and updating of all necessary documents. In this part, we have significant positive experience with the Flag Administrations of Belize, Cameroon, Moldova, Panama, Antigua & Barbuda, Tanzania, Togo, Palau, Ukraine, Cook Islands and Classification Societies: Det Norske Veritas Group (DNVL GL), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS), Bureau of Veritas (BV), Dromon Bureau of Shipping (DBS), Qualitas Register of Shipping (QRS), Vega Register of Shipping (VGRS), Ukrainian Shipping Register (SRU), International Ship Register (IRS) , International Naval Shipping Bureau(INSB), Registro Italiano Navale (RINA), Lloyd’s Register (LLOYD).
- Ensuring the most complete interaction with the commercial operation department in order to most fully implement the plans and conditions determined by the maritime transportation contracts
- Organization and control over the proper technical operation of the vessel, including all types of scheduled and unscheduled services, dock and navigational repairs, preparation of the vessel in technical terms for specific tasks to ensure the most profitable commercial operation of the vessel.
- Organization on board of a rational system for the use of fuels and lubricants. Control and accounting of fuel and oil consumption. Selection of optimal quality and cost of petroleum products.
- Organization of the material and technical supply of the ship in all respects, the introduction of a system for monitoring the receipt and expenditure of supplies, spare parts, components, etc.
- Provision of the vessel with operational documentation in full in accordance with the requirements.
- Calculation of expenses for the maintenance and operation of the ship. Preparation and submission to the shipowner of relevant financial reports.
- Interaction with the crew of the ship on all issues of the life of the ship and its operation.
- Control of qualifications of the ship's personnel, recommendations to the shipowner on the need for certain personnel changes.
Commercial Management
- Cooperation with reliable, first-class cargo owners and brokers.
- Ensuring a constant and most economically advantageous loading, taking into account the ship's specific characteristics and limitations.
- Professional conclusion of contracts.
- Ensuring the safest and most beneficial working conditions for the Shipowner.
- Briefing of the captain and further support on all commercial issues related to the terms of the concluded transportation contract:
- correct submission of notices;
- registration of statements;
- control of signing of bills of lading by the captain;
- if necessary, submission and correctness of letters of protest;
- introduction of reservations into documents on protection of interests; shipowner, etc.
- Nomination, on behalf of the Shipowner, of port agents, minimization of proforma Disbursement accounts, follow-up with all operational issues on behalf of the Shipowner.
- Selection of the most reliable and profitable fuel supplier.
- Daily monitoring of the vessel's movement using the AIS system, support for the captain with promising weather forecasts, coordination with him of a safe and speedy passage route.
- Maintaining a complete post. fixing (including demurrage and dispatch calculations, invoicing, accounting and control of funds due to the Shipowner).
- Detailed report at the end of the voyage, analysis of delays and loss of time on technical and operational issues, specific recommendations to the Shipowner to improve the work of the company.
